Steve enters his 43rd season as the head coach of the men’s cross country team at the Coast Guard Academy.
Eldridge was the NEWMAC Coach of the Year in 2008 as the Bears placed second for the 11th straight season. He has enjoyed a very successful career and the Bears again look to contend for a spot in the National Championship.
Coach Eldridge has coached numerous All-New England and All-American runners during his 40 years at the Academy.
In 2001 and in 1989, Coach Eldridge sent his whole team to the NCAA Championships. The team finished 17th in 2001 and 20th in 1989.
Eldridge, is a 1989 inductee of the Coast Guard Academy Hall of Fame. |
