United States Coast Guard Academy - Department of Athletics

Lieutenant Sam Cheung begins his second year as an assistant coach with the Bears.

Cheung graduated from the Academy in 2002 with an Operations Research and Computer Analysis degree. He holds the Coast Guard career record with 321 assists and is eighth all-time with 1,049 points.

Currently, Cheung is the Assistant Director of Admissions for Campus Programs for the Academy's Admissions department. He will be pursuing his Advanced (Masters of Science) Degree in Manufacturing Engineering at the University of Rhode Island in the Fall of 2007.

Cheung is married to Jennifer who works in the Genetic Toxicology department at Pfizer, the Global Research and Development Center in Groton, CT.
