Bio: Doug Clark was named Director of Sailing in January 2005. Doug had served as the Director of Varsity Programs at Kings Point from 1999-2005 Clark also was the Director of Intercollegiate Sailing at USMMA from 1995-1998. During his time as head coach, Clark helped guide the team to the ICSA North American Dinghy Championship in 1996.

Prior to joining USMMA in 1995, Clark had served as assistant coach at the U.S. Naval Academy for eight years (1986-1994), where his sailors chalked up nine national titles.

Over the years, Clark has coached over 100 All-Americans, four College sailors of the year and won 13 ISCA National Titles. Clark is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island, where he was an Economics and Business Administration major. While sailing for the URI team, Clark was named to the 1985 Honorable Mention All-American team and in 1986 was named All-American. He was also inducted to the University of Rhode Island Athletic Hall of Fame in 2000.
