Rob is in his first season as head coach at the United States Coast Guard Academy.
Mullowney, is no stranger to the NEWMAC, as he was a graduate assistant with the volleyball team at conference rival Smith College for the past two seasons, while also serving as an assistant coach for the Elms College men’s team last spring. Smith beat Coast Guard in the 2005 NEWMAC Tournament championship game.
The 2005 graduate of Haverford College in Pennsylvania with a degree in Mathematics, was an assistant coach with the Haverford women’s team for the 2003 and 2004 seasons before taking over as the the head coach for the Haverford men’s club volleyball team in 2004 and 2005. He led the men’s team to its first winning season in six years while making back-to-back appearances in the conference tournament.
Mullowney, who earned a Master of Science degree in Exercise and Sport Studies from Smith College in May, has worked several volleyball camps including, Bentley, Villanova and the Volleyball Hall of Fame Clinic last fall. |
