Sodemann Named CGASPORTS.COM Athlete of the Week

Sophomore All-American Chasse Sodemann has been named the CGASPORTS.COM Athlete of the Week after his record breaking performance at the NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championship in Shenandoah, Ga.

He earned All-America honors in the 100 breaststroke with a sixth place finish with a time of 54.75.

Sodemann had a tremendous morning in trials as he set a school and NEWMAC Open record in the event with a time of 54.67 to earn a spot in the finals. His record breaking time was the fifth fastest time in the morning trials.

He was the NEWMAC champion in the 100 breaststroke this season with a school and NEWMAC Open record time of 54.77 and was unbeaten in the event during the season before the NCAA Championship.

In his other two events, he finished 20th in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:05.21 and he was 44th in the 50 freestyle in 21.50.
