Junior Dani Knox has been named the CGASPORTS.com Athlete of the Week as the Bears, off the best start in school history, won a pair of road games to improve to 6-0 overall and 4-0 in the New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC).
Knox, who came off the bench in both games last week, averaged a

She had ten points and a career-high tying 12 rebounds to record the third double-double of her career in a 68-57 win at Clark on Wednesday before scoring ten points and grabbing eight rebounds in a 67-64 win at Albertus Magnus on Saturday.
Knox shot 43.6 percent from the floor (7-16) and made six of seven from the foul line during the week. She also averaged three assists and 1.5 steals per game last week.
She is averaging 8.5 points, 7.7 rebounds and shooting 46.8 percent from the floor, which is ninth in the conference and she is the only player in the top 30 in the conference in field goal percentage that has not made a start this season.
Coast Guard leads the NEWMAC in both field goal percentage (42.6) and 3-point field goal percentage (36.7) this season as the Bears 70.5 points per game is second best in the conference.
The Bears are back in action on Tuesday night when they play close out first semester play at Connecticut College at 6 p.m.
