DePorto Named CGASPORTS.COM Athlete of the Week

Coast Guard Academy junior middle blocker Kelsey DePorto has been named the CGA.SPORTS.COM Athlete of the Week as she led the Bears volleyball team to three home victories this week in the Bear Classic

DePorto had 51 kills while hitting a team-high .404 during the week. She led the team with 21 blocks, eight solo and earned a spot on the Bear Classic All-tournament team.

Coast Guard has now won 22 consecutive home matches dating back to the 2010 season. The Bears are 8-5 overall and 2-1 in the New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference.

DePorto is hitting a team best .373 on the season and leads the team with 59 blocks, 31 solo to go with her 116 kills.
